Management Team
Founded in 1996 by Coert Coetzee, the Treoc Group has since grown exponentially and boasts an International Investors Club complement of 40 000 members.
Coert's passion and experience renders him widely respected as Business Owner, Property Investor, Presenter and Author of several wealth creation publications. His experience is evident from the many articles published in the media over the years. Coert eagerly shares his successes and the tried and tested "Treoc Way" developed by him, at Treoc Presentations and Seminars. He is well-known for his ability to easily convey and explain seemingly complex matters quite simplistically, and is thus able to reach folk from all walks of life, in his own, comprehensible approach.
Ian holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Pretoria. He started his career with the Department of Trade and Industry and was selected to represent South Africa as Trade and Industry Advisor overseas. Having relocated to Cape Town in 1997, Ian co-established a commercial and industrial property development company which still operates today. In 2002, he founded and headed up two Mortgage Origination businesses and in 2004 joined forces with Coert Coetzee and became MD of Treoc Finance in 2006. Late in 2008, his proven competence after a short term as Operations Director led to his promotion as Chief Executive Officer of the Treoc Group. Ian is respected for his wealth of knowledge and candid business practice by associates and colleagues alike. It is Ian's intention to leave behind a long-standing legacy by taking the business and its people to the pinnacles of success.

Charles has been involved in the financial services industry for the past 19 years, with 10 years in corporate financial administration at Saambou Bank and for the last 9 years in bond origination, (Property Consulting Services & the Loanlink Broker Services Group) again in the financial management & administration fields. He holds a B. Compt (Hons) degree from UNISA and completed his articles at Theron du Toit (who later became part of PriceWaterhouseCoopers). He joined the Treoc Group in June 2009. Charles has a passion for order and structure and is dedicated to making a positive contribution to taking the Treoc Group into its challenging and exciting future.

After many years and commendable experience and achievements with Seeff in the property marketing and sales industry, Paul Ferns joined Treoc in 2006. As a Property Portfolio Planner he gained valuable insight into property investment and further broadened his knowledge and expertise with his involvement in various divisions. He recently took control of the planning and implementation of the Treoc Service Provider Network and website and contributed largely to the operation of the Treoc Property Exchange and Treoc Property Auctions websites. Paul now heads up the Treoc Service Provider Network and Loyalty Programme and was appointed as director in September 2009.

Kobus has 9 years experience in the Financial Services industry, amongst others his career path included ABSA Private Bank and Old Mutual Private Wealth Management, as Financial Advisor. He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP®) during this time. Kobus also holds a Certificate in Tax from the Tax Institute. He has been with Treoc Trust Services since February 2009 and is passionate about our cause and adding value for our clients through education and the specialist structuring of Treoc's Double Trust model.

Jozua has 20 years experience in business administration and holds a Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, B.Compt (Hons) UNISA, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management (B.P.L.) UOVS. Having a sound history with various well-known organisations such as Anglo American, Jozua joined the Treoc group in June 2006 and has been involved with the financial management of most of the Treoc Service Providers. Since February 2009 he has been involved solely with the management of Treoc Trust Accounting. Jozua is dedicated to ensuring that clients receive efficient and professional service.

Flip identified his passion for the property industry very early and aptly, made this his career focus. He studied Business Management and after joining Treoc in 2006 he very quickly ascended the ranks to become Managing Director of Treoc Finance. With 7 years experience in the origination and property industry Flip has one clear-cut objective, to provide clients with the unsurpassed service he and his team pride themselves on, by identifying the most suitable finance/mortgage product without having to go through tedious processes, and by creating the effect of having all four banks on your doorstep, ultimately making the Mortgage Loan application a streamlined and professional experience.

Gary Burton obtained his BA Phys Ed and HED from the University of Stellenbosch. He later completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP®) through the University of Bloemfontein. He has been in the insurance industry since 1989 where he focused in sales training. His proven ability stood him in stead for his promotion to Sales Manager at Old Mutual in July 2000. Gary started at Treoc Risk Managers in October 2008 as the Operations Manager and was later promoted to Managing Director in August 2009. Gary's zealous approach to sound client service is commendable, he will see to it that your every long-term risk requirement is met as efficiently as possible.

Prior to starting with Treoc, Jacques had already proven his leadership skills as Branch Manager of Spinnaker Software. With 5 years personal experience as a property investor he joined Treoc and has been involved with property procurement since 2007. He is accredited with the EAAB and his praiseworthy achievements in a short space of time lead to his promotion to Managing Director in 2009. He has streamlined the procurement process to standards of excellence and continues to build relationships with top developers in South Africa to ensure only the best long-term investment properties are offered to our buyers. Jacques is passionate about Treoc and wishes to cement a "buy with confidence" principle amongst our buyers.

Marina Short obtained her B Comm Acc Degree (Cum Laude) - this set the tone for her achievements initially in the financial sector and later specialising in Management. She was part of the Management team for the Multi-billion Rand re-development of Old Mutual's flagship - Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. She has established herself in the market as a dynamic leader and since joining Treoc in 2008, she currently looks after 100's of business owners who learn how to create excellence in their businesses. She heads up the Academy at Treoc and is continuously identifying further personal and professional growth initiatives for the group and its members.

William became involved in the property industry with Conveyancing Attorneys, De Bruyn, Van Der Elst & Bokwa. Since then, and for the last three years, William has been actively involved in many aspects of the property industry. William started with Treoc Capital in January 2008 and built up a considerable client base to which he provided the services of bridging finance with great success. His dedication and strong accountability laid down the credits for his subsequent appointment to Managing Director of the company.
