My name is Marina Short and not all of you know me yet, but I am sure you already know Coert Coetzee. Many of you know him as a property investor and seminar presenter on property topics. Many of you know him as an author. Many people also know him as a businessman and that is what this letter is about. Before he became a fulltime businessman in 1990, Coert had a senior position with a national insurer, Sentrasure, which amalgamated with Commercial Union in the nineties. With commercial risk management as one of his major tasks at Sentrasure and later years at his own risk managing business, Profcover, he had excess to the inner secrets of hundreds of other people's businesses. From small video shops to multimillion rand government organisations. He knows what works and what not.
